Book by Authors - North Long Beach Anthology is a collection of creative works about North Long Beach by local writers and artists. Presented by Smolarcorp, Book by Authors showcases our local talent, helps unveil who we are as a community (both intellectually and experientially) and produces both a learning tool and an inspiring opportunity for our youth.
All profits benefit the Fairfield YMCA and the Connected Corridor Project.

The short term goals of this project will include increased community leadership and civic engagement, better visibility and improved community awareness. This will be accomplished in a short working timeline by seeking “the low hanging fruit” along the corridor, avoiding duplication and avoiding recycled projects. Instead, we are building from innovative and successful ideas set in motion by grassroots efforts, and which include the “people resources” as a first philosophy.

The YMCA of Greater Long Beach will build strong kids, strong families and strong communities and will contribute powerfully to life in Long Beach and the partner cities we serve. All activities of the YMCA will strengthen the family, and show, by the example of our work, how people of all backgrounds can live together and grow toward their full potential.
